PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hello Parents, Coaches and Players,
Welcome to the 2011-2012 Winter
basketball season. The time between
seasons has gone by fast and it is
time to begin our new season.
I hope you had a relaxing off- season
because it is time for some exciting
basketball.
For those of you who do not know me,
my name is Derek McGee and I have
the privilege of serving as your Chapter
Director and President for the 2011-2012
season. To the returning players, I
would like to welcome you back for
another exciting season and for
those of you who are new to our
chapter, I would like to welcome
you to our Pomona Valley NJB Chapter.
The off-season has been very busy
for our chapter: Here are some
recent changes within our Chapter:
1) The Chapter has partnered with
La Verne/San Dimas Chapter which
now includes the following cities:
Glendora, Charter Oak, Azusa,
Claremont, Rancho Cucamonga,
Fontana, Ontario, Montclair, Pomona
and Upland. This new partnership with
the La Verne/San Dimas Chapter
will now give us various skills levels
and Divisional league gym time in
the San Gabriel Valley.
2) Last year, our program for
Divisions 1, 2 and 3 female players
were at an all time low, so this year
we will only have girls divisions
2 and 3. As a Chapter, I would l
ike to see a four team increase
of players.
This rapidly growing chapter
can not function without the
hard work of dedicated board
members. I want to thank those
individuals who will be serving
on the board for the upcoming
season. The PVNJB Board is
now looking for new volunteers
to join our 2011-2012 Board
and we currently have a few
positions available. If you are
interested in being on the Board
and making a valuable contribution
to this chapter, please contact
me @ gnjb.chapter@gmail.com asap.
